Sweet Basil Vinaigrette

What’s sweet, a little spicy, and green all over? This sweet basil vinaigrette—that's what—and it will have you putting it on everything from salads to chicken.

2-4 servings

2 cups of basil (packed)

1 small shallot

1 clove garlic

½ cup olive oil

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon dijon mustard

1 tablespoon honey


1. Toss all ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend until the oil and vinegar begin to emulsify, about 60 seconds.

2. Taste and add salt and pepper as needed.

3. This dressing will keep in the refrigerator for about 1 week.
